Current Regulations Effective Until June 30, 2019. Prior to September 2019, the previous requirements, which have been in place since the mid-1970’s, continue to remain in effect for grades K-12.3 The previous regulations require school districts to have a guidance program for all students.

(2) The applicant for certification or the renewal of certification must be a licensed dental hygienist or be concurrently licensed as a dental hygienist at the time of initial certification; and shall meet the additional requirements of this section.
