The 6.5 WBY RPM packs a punch and is capable of being chambered in Weatherby’s new sub-five-pound rifle, the Mark V Backcountry Ti. This combination offers maximum downrange performance in the lightest rifle possible.
25 mar 2020 · The all-new 6.5 Weatherby Rebated Precision Magnum (WBY RPM) cartridge is a vast departure from classic Weatherby design. The 6.5 WBY RPM has no belt, no double-radius shoulder, and no freebore. It’s still a hotrod, but that’s about all it has in common with its traditional belted-magnum, Venturi-shouldered, generously freebored ancestors.
21 lut 2024 · A 6.5 Weatherby RPM is a high-performance rifle cartridge developed by Weatherby, Inc. It offers exceptional accuracy, long-range performance, and minimal recoil, making it popular among long-range shooters and hunters alike.
20 wrz 2024 · The new 6.5 Weatherby RPM is the first Weatherby Magnum designed without the belted case and double-radii, venturi-shaped neck. The 6.5 Weatherby RPM case has a rebated rim (30-06 size), half-inch-diameter case head, 35.25-degree shoulder, and one-caliber-length neck.
3 sty 2023 · The 6.5 RPM betters the muzzle velocity of most of the 6.5-284 Norma loads by a couple of hundred fps, pushing a 140-grain Nosler AccuBond to 3075 fps and carrying 1,500 ft.-lbs. of energy out to 500 yards.
17 kwi 2020 · The 6.5 Weatherby RPM is based on the configuration of the 6.5-284 Norma (and its parent .284 Winchester), but the case is elongated in order to give a greater case capacity and to fit properly in a .30-06-length action. The RPM drives a 140-grain bullet at 3050 fps, giving a near-identical trajectory to the 6.5 PRC.
The 6.5 WBY RPM (Rebated Precision Magnum) is based on the lengthened version of the .284 Winchester. The large body diameter, low body taper, and 35-degree shoulder mean that case capacity is greatly increased, leading to higher velocities.
