1 lip 2017 · Its useful for item descriptions that you give to your players, typing up your homebrew content and can print/PDF easily. Also can save your pages to edit if you make an account. The best part is it's not difficult so your players can type up their spells (or copy/paste from digital sources).
There are a few PDFs that you can make yourself for your own offline viewing from DnDBeyond, simply by bringing up whatever content you have (like the combined Basic Rules and SRD) and printing to PDF file.
There are a lot of spells, magic items, monsters, etc. covered between all the various PDFs. For example, many spells found in the player's handbook but not covered in the basic rules are found in the HotDQ and RoT supplements. Ditto for Monsters and Magic Items.
The easiest way to make your own is to copy one of the existing 'brews as a template and use the main 5etools data as a reference. The schemas for homebrew data can be found here. Contributions are welcome. For the GitHub-literate, make a pull request.*
