The most complete specimen measures 12.3–12.4 m (40–41 ft) in length, but according to most modern estimates, Tyrannosaurus could have exceeded sizes of 13 m (43 ft) in length, 3.7–4 m (12–13 ft) in hip height, and 8.8 t (8.7 long tons; 9.7 short tons) in mass.
8 lip 2020 · To make it easier to compare and read the data, I combined the measurements into a single chart, added colors and lines for ease of reading, and added the size and names of the T. rex used in the study. Feel free to refer to the below chart for T. rex teeth measurements.
Mass is calculated using the cube of the length, so for species in which the length is particularly uncertain, the weight is even more so. Estimates that are particularly uncertain (due to very fragmentary or lost material) are preceded by a question mark. Each number represents the highest estimate of a given research paper.
Tyrannosaurus rexThe huge mouth of Tyrannosaurus rex contained some 60 teeth that could protrude as far as 15 cm (6 inches). The longest known tyrannosaur skull is 1.3 metres (more than 4 feet) long.
7 mar 2024 · How Many Teeth Does a T. Rex Have? Series Article #5 discusses the teeth of a T. Rex based on the incredible fossil skull discoveries which have been well preserved. Body Size: Pretty Big! 13 meters (42.6 feet)! Although T. rex was not the largest carnivore, it was pretty substantial. T. rex could reach a length of over 40 feet and weight over 7 tons (equal to 93 people). The largest specimen is Scotty. She is 13m (42.6ft) in length.
