The following is a list of accidents and incidents involving the Boeing 737 family of jet airliners, including the Boeing 737 Original (−100/-200), Boeing 737 Classic (−300/-400/-500), Boeing 737 Next Generation (−600/-700/-800/-900) and Boeing 737 MAX (−8/-9) series of aircraft.
On 28 September 2018, a Boeing 737, operated by Air Niugini, landed short of the runway at Chuuk International Airport in Weno (FSM) and came to rest in Chuuk Lagoon. Locals in small boats rescued most passengers and all crew members.
The aircraft, a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800, crashed into a field about 1.5 km (0.9 mi) north of the Polderbaan runway (18R), prior to crossing the A9 motorway inbound, at 09:26 UTC (10:26 CET), having flown from Istanbul, Turkey. The aircraft broke into three pieces on impact.
