The Pre-Licensing Course includes approximately 5 hours of instruction. New drivers must complete the course before taking a DMV road test and applying for a license, unless they complete the State’s 48-hour Driver Education Program through their local high school or college.

2 mar 2024 · The 5-hour pre-licensing course takes place in person at our AAA Hudson Valley main office, 618 Delaware Ave, Albany and is open to anyone with a NY picture permit. AAA members and teenage drivers who have guardians with AAA memberships can save on the registration fee.
