The toes (or digits) are numbered one through five: The great toe (also called hallux) is digit number one, just as the thumb (pollex) is number one on the hand. It has only a distal and proximal phalanx.
There are five digits of foot. From medial to lateral, they are the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th digits. 1) The 1st digit is the hallux or great toe, located on the innermost side. 2) The 2nd digit is the long toe. 3) The 3rd digit is the middle toe. 4) The 4th digit is the ring toe.
Toes are the digits of the foot. The toe refers to part of the human foot, with five toes present on each human foot. Each toe consists of three phalanx bones, the proximal, middle, and distal, with the exception of the big toe (Latin: Hallux). The hallux only contains two phalanx bones, the proximal and distal.
Digits 2-5 consist of a metatarsal and three phalanges. The 1st toe has only two phalanges. The metatarsals and corresponding phalanges create the forefoot's 5 rays.
3 cze 2016 · The foot consists of 7 tarsal bones, 5 metatarsal bones, and 14 phalanges. Motion at the digits for abduction and adduction is defined by an imaginary line along the long axis of the second digit, unlike the hand in which the long axis runs along the third digit.
Forefoot: The forefoot is the most anterior aspect of the foot. It includes metatarsals, phalanges (toes), and sesamoid bones. Each digit has a metatarsal and three phalanges, apart from the great toe, which only has two phalanges. The articulation of the midfoot and forefoot forms the Lisfranc joint.
These longitudinal fibers originate as a single entity on the medial process of the tuberosity of the calcaneus, and as they move towards the toes, they divide into five bands that become continuous with the fibrous digital sheaths that enclose the flexor tendons that pass to the toes.
