7 kwi 2011 · Take it from a guy who owns a machine shop and has done one for himself (current 406) installing splayed caps in a 2 bolt block, don't waste your time. Since you're starting from scratch, buy a Dart SHP block.
9 lis 2021 · Car is a 1980 Camaro, with an automatic turbo 400 with 4.10 gears and a couple of different converters. Very easy to make power with the 406 SBC's they respond well with good heads. I will use my AFR 210 CNC heads on my next 406.
