12 mar 2022 · I attempted to temporarily move the already existing .sav file, and then move it back after testing to see if it will save and load a new game, but the old .sav file is still not loadable while the new one is fine.
4 kwi 2024 · I've recently downloaded mgba + a Pokemon rom hack called 'Pokemon run and bun'. Every time I open this ROM I get the following message on my screen: Failed to open save file; in-game saves cannot be updated.
I could not find any youtube videos about this specific issue and I wasted a good 30 minutes trying to change my file locations and other things to fix this....
24 sty 2021 · I just downloaded mgba last night, but I found that my game always starts up with a error that says "failed to open save file. is the save directory writable?" how do i fix this?
.sav files are usually in-game saves, and assuming it’s actually in the correct format for mgba, all you should need to do is rename the .sav to match the rom you are using and make sure they are in the same folder. Load the rom and the save should just show up in-game.
12 lip 2021 · When you run mGBA, right click and run as administrator. Found a solution: find your library folder and grand the application permissions to read/write. ggez. Only solution I’ve found is go to file>save state file>create save file in new folder - load state file>new folder>select labeled file.
13 paź 2016 · See if game created a valid savegame file. On the PC a valid savegame should be created and look like this: On the Vita a .sav file is created but won't be shown ingame.
