9 wrz 2005 · Believe the various .40-70 Sharps Straight configurations to be found were the impetus for Schuetzen Arms to come up with their chamber reamer. Their reamer design would certainly be my preferance for a "new" .40-70 Sharps Straight chambering.
17 lip 2015 · I've recently acquired a 1875 C. Sharps in 40-70 sharps straight caliber. I have 97 brass for it formed from 30-40 Krag. I am looking for a source for more 30-40 Krag brass or 303 British to form into 40-70 SS. Any ideas on a source that won't break the bank would be appreciated.
When a form die is used to reduce the neck diameter of a case, material must be removed from the neck in order to maintain appropriate neck wall thickness. In this case, an RCBS neck reamer will do the trick. This tool will remove the appropriate amount of material from inside the case neck, allowing for easy and proper reloading.
