1 gru 2003 · I am shooting the 40-70 in an original Rem-Hepburn - I am using the stretched 30-40 brass, Fed 215M, 71g Swiss 1 1/2, Walters wad 0.06" behind a Seaco 355g FP (.403) lubed with SPG. This is a hunting load with average velocity of 1390 fps.

5 wrz 2023 · My silhouette loads run around 63.5 to 66.0 grs of Swiss with a BACO money 447 gr bullet. All my bullets are cast at 14.5-1. A HDPE .060 wad and Fed 210 match primers. Never could get consistent accuracy with pistol primers.
9 lut 2024 · Looking for load data using smokeless with a 320gr cast bullet. Anyone know of a reputable resource for this type of data? Somewhere between 68 and 70 grains of 11/2f with a .030 fiber wad should work. Mine likes 69 grains with most any bullet weight/length.
For the inital load, try for 70 grains GOEX cartridge by weight. Walters .060 wad or .030 depending on how much you can get in the case. Use a drop tube and experiment with compression.
