18 mar 2017 · HEI Upgrade. Hi everyone, I am trying to do an HEI distributor upgrade to my 1989 YJ. It has the AMC 258 and I'm trying to figure out which wire to use for the tachometer. The original distributor connector has 3 wires which are orange, violet, and black.
