24 sty 2008 · I replaced the oil level sensor on my Kohler back in April. I tested it out by trying to crank the engine with no oil. During my tests, I found that if I left the sensor disconnected, the engine would crank.

This was a very fast and easy repair requiring just a crescent wrench and a screwdriver. Just needed to remove the screw for the sensor wire, remove the plug with the crescent wrench, then replace everything. With the engine cold, there was not hardly any oil leakage at all.
