16 maj 2011 · I may reload 380 auto later. I was researching the loads on Hodgdon, and see what I consider a question. The starting powder load for a 90gr JHP bullet is higher (at 3.2 gr) that for both of the heavier bullets listed (both 95 and 100 gr FMJ) which each have a starting load of 2.9gr of powder.

2 mar 2023 · 380 Loads with Win 231. Have been using Power Pistol in my 380 ACP loads. Also have HP-38 and Win-231 on hand. New bullets are from Lee mold 356-95 TL RF. Application is paper targets and tin cans.
24 sie 2020 · My Speer #11 shows 3.7 max of W231 for a 95 gr. TMJ. For me, when finding different recommended powder charges for a new to me cartridge or component combo, I will often start with the lowest published load. I like reloading so if the lower load doesn't work, I get to try something else...
14 gru 2015 · The Winchester data I have only shows 231, not WSF. One of the major reloading manuals said that 231 was their favorite powder for .380, I've loaded several thousand rounds using 231 and the Xtreme 100 gr plated bullet, excellent results.

Many powders produced excellent results in the .380 Auto. When using the accompanying data, be certain to seat bullets to the same overall cartridge lengths as listed. Due to the unusually short case and limited powder capacity, seating a bullet deeper will result in a sharp spike or increase in pressure.
