27 lut 2019 · The text on the front of the block is relative to the assembly of the engine which consists of the block and additional components. To my knowledge the additional raised(cast) text and stamped are for bulk identity of the individual parts(interchangeable on the assembly line).

The 318 V8 was part of Chrysler’s popular LA engine series, which also included the 238 V6, the 273 V8, the 340 V8, and the 360 V8. This engine is also known as the Dodge 318 and the Dodge 5.2-liter V8.
