5 kwi 2016 · My hands-down favorite for 150s is CFE223 (MR2000). It is good with 165s, too, but for them I prefer Re15 and Varget. 4064 and 4895 are also good, but not as good as the others in my rifles. It is hard to find a bad powder for the .308.

12 lis 2013 · It all matters! This. 308 with mid-weight bullets works well with a huge variety of powders. There is also a significant overlap between powders which are good for .308 and those which are good for .223. To elaborate a bit on @Doom 's reply, Progressive press: ball powder.
16 sie 2022 · Been reloading a bunch for my 308. It really does shoot everything, particularly 168 ELDMs and IMR 3031. Curious to hear what everyone else loves as far as projectiles, powders, and loads for smacking steel or hunting. Been using the 168smk with imr4064 for more years than I want to admit to.
