I have installed dimmers in a single box and a gang box with 2 switches but never a box with 3 switches. And there's some confusion, so hopefully someone can help. I am installing a new smart dimmer switch as shown in my photo. I am replacing the middle switch.
9 mar 2024 · Yes, you can use the green thread-through wire nuts to attach the dimmer grounds to the ground wire attached to the switch. Wrap the switch terminals with electrical tape. Be careful when you fold the wires back in, especially to keep the bare copper away from the switch terminals (even with the tape - it can get scraped off).
