1859/1864, published in 2006, covers both the 1859 Second Italian War of Independence and the 1864 Second Schleswig War. The former was a brief war (the operations spanned just over one month) that culminated in one of the largest battles of the 19th century: Solferino.
This supplement allows players of “Broadside and Ram” to extend their games to the Second Schleswig War, fought between Denmark and the allied Prussia and Austria in 1864, and also the Franco Prussian war of 1870 (although here the naval warfare element is conjectural).

"The Second Schleswig War was the second military conflict over the Schleswig-Holstein Question of the nineteenth century. The war began on 1 February 1864, when Prussian forces crossed the border into Schleswig. Denmark fought the Kingdom of Prussia and the Austrian Empire.

The game is a quick playing, no-frills simulation which uses an odds-based Combat Result Table and Artillery Fire Table with a d10 roll to process combat.

Ten sided dice are used in these rules. A zero result on the die is read as a ten. Counters should be made to issue orders.
