Looking to get a nice CRT TV for retro gaming (mostly n64 using S-video), and trying to figure which brand is best for this. Some of the brands I've seen posted for my area are Panasonic, Magnavox, Sanyo, and Durabrand.
Before 1975, RCA TVs were great, and even after that time period, their tubes were still great, regardless of whether they were owned by RCA or by GE or by Thomson. Alrighty, I just update the RCA section.
I love my 27” rca TruFlat SDTV. Light enough I can carry it myself, big enough for couch lounging 8-10 ft away, and a variety of inputs. I would love a bigger set, just haven’t stumbled across one that looks as good and has a good price.

5 lip 2008 · Walmart has a 27" RCA Trueflat for $248. 27F554T. I can't attest to the quality, but I like the number of inputs you get for the price. 2 Component (which claim to accept HD signals), 1 S-Video, and 1 Composite. That should be plenty for hooking up those older game systems.
