7 mar 2024 · I used my go-to OTC ball joint press the first time, and the sleeve came out with the pin. On repeat for the second side and then the first side again to replace the boot, I used a slightly-opened Harbor Freight tool that's narrower in the fork, so it left the sleeves in place.

19 cze 2013 · Using the borrowed press kit, I selected the parts that would allow for pressing the bushing out from top to bottom. Apparently, the angular orientation of the bushing in relation to the rear control arm bushing is critical.
20 cze 2020 · I have an old Harbor Freight A-Frame type 12 ton that has worked for everything I needed to press, but I don't use it that much, mainly axle bearings. The specialized tools are nice. A friend of mine has those. I have been using a ball joint press to remove the bushings.
