29 lis 2013 · I have a 2001 jetta 1.9 tdi mkiv alh 5 speed std. I found a video of an egr delete with a race pipe. I have done a “home made” egr delete of the cooler and piping and simply made a cap plate for the egr at the “throttle body” and turbo, and rerouted the coolant lines.
24 lip 2013 · Attach the block off plate on the exhaust manifold. Replumb the coolant lines for the EGR cooler delete with the new 2 hoses and coupler (tee delete). Add coolant. Hook up the laptop with VCDS. Select Chassis type, choose Engine -01, Login-11, Enter Code 12233, Do It!, Adaption- 10, goose the throttle.

22 gru 2023 · Remove the upstream AUX EGR cooler and piping (this job sucks even more). Pull the downpipe out while twisting it, you will understand the twist when it comes out. The VW service manual does not give you much information for this reason as well, it is no fun at all.
30 gru 2014 · Using the partial disassembly method, just removed to the stereo/HVAC control panel, then popped off the 7 clips. Thankfully I have all that is needed. But will have to troubleshoot recirc door motor as it is inop.
To clean the system, it's best to remove the entire intake manifold and EGR system but you can get away with just cleaning the intake manifold, EGR cooler, and EGR valve. You MUST remove the components from the engine when cleaning them.
