I've noticed that when people talk about using a CRT TV to watch streaming services and play games on emulators, usually people say use a PS3 or Xbox 360 with Netflix or use an old Roku device that is kind of hard to get ahold of.

18 lut 2014 · What would be my choices for media streaming devices that I can hook up to a CRT TV via RCA (no HDMI option available), which would allow me to stream web content directly from a website?
My channel provider still offers hundreds of channels via RF cable but only 30 analog ones. So i have 30 analog channels on my crt. I don’t use it to watch “over the air” but I still use it to watch live tv. Either downscaled YouTube tv or straight 720p out of my Roku.

80% of my CRT time on is just streaming Toonami Aftermath on a modded Xbox with XBMC. The commercials in-between shows really give it that authentic 90s/00s live TV feel. Definitely worth checking out if you have an Xbox or Raspberry Pi. I don't watch tv, but i use a PC CRT as my main monitor and watch content on it, together with my plasma. Yep.
