2 John 1:13. Presentation of the greeting from the children of the κυρία’s sister. If κυρία were a proper noun, we would have to suppose that the sister had either already died, or was not with her children near the apostle, as he would otherwise certainly have mentioned her.
2 sie 2004 · Summary. Just as in the Gospel of John the author does not explicitly identify himself with the Apostle John, so here he prefers the designation the elder. Presumably the Christian community to which he wrote knew who he was.

What binds us together is a common truth. This is why truth is important to Christians. d. Will be with us forever: The truth does not change. The truth will be true forever, and we will have the truth forever in eternity.
Context Summary. Second John 1:12–13 concludes the letter of 2 John. John could have written much more, but this is not the purpose of the letter. His preference is to meet face-to-face, something he hopes will occur.
