9 cze 2011 · You might have to replace the manifold lines that go to the compressor. If your system is similar to the one in mine, the High Pressure valve is not a swap like the low side is. You would need to remove the hose lines going to the compressor and replace them.

26 cze 2016 · I can easily get the GM OEM-style valve, but is there a good replacement that uses a standard Schrader valve? From reading online, the OEM ones are problematic enough that people don't even want to hook gauges to them.
You replace the hose. Well, you replace the hose if the leak is outside the port as in where it's welded onto the hose. The port itself can't be replaced separately.
22 cze 2011 · I asked an AC guy to take a look at my van's system a few years ago. His response: If it's an Astro van it needs a compressor! He charged the system and used a sniffer to find the leak and it was leaking strongly from behind the compressor pulley. He recommended that I replace the compressor, hoses and orifice tube because they're all original.
