18 lip 2007 · I now have 4 1187's in my safe (along with a pair of older 1100's). All have been extremely reliable. One of my Super Mags will only cycle fairly heavy target loads, but the other one does fine with lighter 1 oz loads. The two 20 ga models handle 7/8oz loads without a hitch (I've never tried them with 3/4 oz loads).
23 lut 2009 · Our test ammo for that was Federal Hi-Power 2.75-inch loads containing 2.75-dram equivalent powder charges propelling 1 ounce of 7.5 shot, with a rated muzzle velocity of 1170 fps. This load has approximately 350 pellets in the cup.
I picked up from my local merchant of death a brand new in box Remington 11-87 Sportsman Super Mag Waterfowl in some form of cammo. I got an exceptional deal on it and to my understanding the 11-87 was/is supposed to be the Cadillac of semi-auto shotguns, the best in the biz of non-custom shotguns.
These Model 11-87 12 Gauge barrels are not equipped with a pressure compensation gas system. Target barrels are intended for use with target ammunition only (3-1/4 dr. powder, 1-1/4 oz. lead shot - max.).
