The Grumman E-2C Hawkeye is the US Navy's long-serving carrier-based airborne early warning aircraft. The E-2C is fitted with two turboprop engines and a distinctive 24' circular radar rotodome above the upper fuselage and wing.
4 lis 2011 · Finished this one a few months back, Kinetic's E-2C Hawkeye. A great kit, but not without it's problems. The engine turbine, crew access opening and radar were scratch built. Extra detail was also added to the landing gear, wing folds and the cockpit area. Marcus.
29 cze 2024 · Kinetic first released their 1/48 E-2C Hawkeye kit in 2009 and as of 2021 I would say it is still the best Hawkeye kit in any scale (if you have the room). The kit has been updated since its release with new parts and reissued.

Auch in 1/48 hat der noch beeindruckende Ausmaße: Die Klarsichtteile sind jetzt nicht unbedingt hauchdünn, aber sehr schön gemacht und ohne Kratzer und EInschlüsse: Der riesige Decalbogen.

Since entering service in 1972, the E-2 has seen combat in Vietnam, Libya and the Persian Gulf. Kinetic released their all-new 1/48 scale E-2C Hawkeye towards the end of 2009.
