If I update to Mavericks, will I lose my Window 7 Boot Camp partition? I've recently hit a wall. I bought software that refuses to install on my 10.6.8 OS, so now I'm looking to upgrade.

2 sie 2014 · Today I have discovered many of the applications I have grown to enjoy no longer function on 10.6 and require 10.7 or higher. Since 10.9 is free it seems like the go to option. MY CONCERNS: I have read on several sites that upgrading the OS could lead to lower performance and slower loading times on the older laptops? Is this a myth?
