The choice is really between Snow Leopard and Mavericks; Lion and Mountain Lion are the ones to skip for performance reasons. For a machine with decent specs such as yours, there's nothing you'll lose out on by upgrading.

9 lis 2016 · Without knowing the specifics of your situation, you can run the App Store app to see whether you get the option to upgrade to Lion (i.e. OS X 10.7). Once you have upgraded to this, you can then upgrade to El Capitan.
