I am trying to create a 1.8 (1.8.9) minecraft sever on Windows 7. The Mojang site appears to only has 1.9 posted. Where can I safely download the jar file to make a 1.8 server? (Sites that I have found are being flagged by my web software as suspicions or as Malware sites).Or is the 1.9 server download somehow configurable to run as 1.8?
