26 kwi 2024 · Answer. In 1 John 4:7–8, the apostle John returns to one of his favorite subjects—love: “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love” (NKJV).

14 wrz 2021 · The first appeal was attached to God's light, and if we want to walk in the light, we should love one another (1 John 2:9-11). His second appeal was attached to our nature, that if we are born again, we will love others (1 John 3:10-24).
John says if you want to measure love, use that as your standard. Do not measure love by the warm affection of your heart toward God, the gratitude you feel toward God. Naturally, if God has blessed you, helped you, and strengthened you, you will feel a warm affection toward him arising within you, but that is not the measure of love.
1 lut 2012 · For 1 John it would seem that the end result of God’s love is for us to love another. This is the goal of God’s love. It is the highest and best thing we can do as the beloved children of God.
