7 mar 2007 · I'm building a world models 1/3 scale J3 Cub ARF as we speak....I decided to run a Zenoah GT 80 and cut the cowell to expose the top of the 2 cylinders and plugs. Alot of guys are running g62's and they claim that it is plenty of power. These are weighing in at 26-29 lbs fly ready.
You could probably document this one as a Scale model for one of them. Spot landings using flaps are fun—after you get past the fact that this Cub has flaps. Phoenix Model has a winner with this Piper J-3 Cub and the company’s attention to construction techniques makes it a joy to assemble.

22 sie 2006 · I have been looking at this ARF kit for a 1/3 Cub from World models. It calls for an 80cc gas engine, but I was wondering if I could get away with putting a big 4 stroke nitro in it. Anyone have any idea what might be used?
