  7. So, I ended up with Hitfilm and it's great. It very intuitive, handles everything I need to do (short film editing) and it's free. I would look at the addons (usually $9-$19) for things like extended formats, luts, etc. Someday when I get a new (powerful) computer I'll check out Davinci, but for now Hitfilm is the best choice.
