3 cze 2024 · Check the video length: Ensure your video is 60 seconds or less. If it’s even a second over, YouTube won’t recognize it as a Short. Verify the aspect ratio: YouTube Shorts must have a vertical aspect ratio of 9:16. If your video is in a different aspect ratio, it won’t qualify as a Short.
I’ve been trying to upload a video- it’s 40ish seconds long, and every time I try, YouTube uploads it as a short. I don’t WANT a short. I want a VIDEO. I select “upload video” and everything- a button which is right next to “upload short” but is clearly different. Please.

As the uploader, you get that link, paste it in, change it, hit the share button and it shares it as regular video instead of short. Here is what u/burnanon21 was explaining: Just remove the 'shorts' from the URL and replace it with: 'watch?v='
The criteria is a 9:16 or 1:1 video (not sure if other vertical aspect ratios work) up to 60 seconds in length, not whether a specific hashtag is included or not. OP's problem is probably uploading 9:16 content pillarboxed into a 16:9 frame.
