The ADMS-11 software allows you to edit memory channel frequencies, channel info, alpha tags, and transceiver settings for the Yaesu FT3DR/DE. It provides easy configuration via a personal computer. Sometimes, users want to combine multiple RepeaterBook search exports into a single memory file for their radio.
Programming the Yaesu FT-3D radio begins with getting data from the radio. This gives the YPS-FT3D Programmer the details it needs to identify the radio (worldwide version, modification status, and other "behind the scenes" details).

The Yaesu manual shows the steps necessary to make a backup to the SD from the HT here, but no matter what I try when I click on "Write to SD" in the menu, it always just says "Not Completed". I've tried 5 different MicroSD cards from Samsung, PNY, Sandisk, and a generic one.
All three of these attempts caused the FT2D to reset, and it needed to be restored from the SD card backup file. So it at least appears they are looking a the data on the way into the radio. I do test these releases on my own devices, so there haven’t been any catastrophic things happen.
You can use the SD card. In the menu, backup to the card, move it to the computer, use the OEM software to program it. Put it back in radio and restore from the SD card. That is if yaesu has released the ADMS software for it, which I don't see on their website.
