Mega Evolution (Japanese: メガ 進化 しんか, Hepburn: Mega Shinka), otherwise referred to as Ultimate Evolution (Japanese: 究極体進化 きゅうきょくたいしんか, Hepburn: Kyūkyokutai Shinka), is a concept introduced in Generation VI. It consists of certain Pokémon gaining an ultimate form of themselves.
Pokémon X & Y introduced a new type of evolution called Mega Evolution. When holding a particular Mega Stone (specific to each Pokémon), certain Pokémon can Mega-Evolve in battle. Mega Evolution is in fact more like in-battle form changes. Mega Pokémon do not occupy separate spots in the Pokédexes.
Mega Evolution is a temporary change of type and abilities of some Pokémon triggered by a special item and a Key Stone. Primal Reversion is a similar phenomenon for two Legendary Pokémon that react to a specific stone automatically.
8 wrz 2024 · Each Pokémon that can Mega evolve has 3 Mega Levels: Base, High, and Max. To reach the base level you only need to mega evolve your Pokémon once in order to reach the Base level, then another 6 Mega evolutions to reach the High level, then a final 23 more evolutions to reach the Max level.
Mega Evolutions are different to evolutions and forms, that have your Pokémon Mega Evolve in battle into these appearances. They need to hold a special Mega Stone item and receive the Mega Ring and the Key Stone, and they have different abilities, stats and sometimes types.
