3 mar 2020 · Your understanding of DNS is incorrect. Your web browser does not redirect to 8.8.8.8, google public dns is only used as a reference to which names/urls match which public ip addresses. Your computer references 8.8.8.8 to find the public IP for 'facebook.com', then caches that information.
