24 maj 2019 · We present a model of the whole visual train to estimate an individual’s visual acuity based on their eye’s physical properties. Our simulation takes into account the optics of the eye,...
6 mar 2024 · Visual acuity (VA) modelling and evaluation principles. Given a set of past visual acuity examinations, we predict the visual acuity value at the next time step.
27 cze 2023 · To develop machine learning models for objectively evaluating visual acuity (VA) based on pattern-reversal visual evoked potentials (PRVEPs) and other related visual parameters. Methods. Twenty-four volunteers were recruited and forty-eight eyes were divided into four groups of 1.0, 0.8, 0.6, and 0.4 (decimal vision).
29 sty 2019 · The aim of this study was to develop a simple and reliable method for the objective assessment of visual acuity by optimizing the stimulus used in commercially available systems and by improving the methods of evaluation using a nonlinear function, the modified Ricker model.
The theory defines metrics of visual acuity to potentially predict changes in visual acuity due to optical aberrations, without needing a posteriori scale or offset. We illustrate our approach with experiments, using combinations of defocus and spherical aberration, and pure coma.

11 maj 2023 · To develop an artificial intelligence (AI) model for estimating best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA) using horizontal and vertical optical coherence tomography (OCT) scans of various retinal diseases and examine factors associated with its accuracy.
