Uniwersytet Łódzki, skr. UŁ – polska uczelnia utworzona dekretem z 24 maja 1945 [3] [4] jako kontynuatorka dorobku i tradycji działających w okresie międzywojennym w Łodzi Instytutu Nauczycielskiego (1921–1928), Wyższej Szkoły Nauk Społecznych i Ekonomicznych (1924–1928) oraz oddziału Wolnej Wszechnicy Polskiej (1928–1939) [4].
The University of Łódź is a fully accredited, state-owned, traditional university. It is one of 18 institutions of its type in Poland. [8] It has more than 25,000 students [9] and 2,600 teachers. Its international cooperation includes 385 partner institutions from all over the world. [10]
