14 kwi 2023 · We present a tsunami simulation of the Tongan Archipelago calibrated by field observations, drone, and satellite data. Our simulation emphasizes how the complex shallow bathymetry of the area acted as a low-velocity wave trap, capturing tsunami for more than 1 hour.
7 wrz 2022 · The 2022 HTHH event provides an opportunity to study a major volcanically generated tsunami that caused substantial damage. In this study, we present a numerical simulation of a tsunami with a...
18 kwi 2024 · We simulated the tsunami generated by the Hunga Tonga–Hunga Ha’apai volcano eruption on January 15, 2022, adopting two propagating concentric waves corresponding to the Lamb and Pekeris waves.
26 gru 2022 · In this study, we investigate atmospheric gravity waves that possibly excited the aforementioned subsequent tsunami based on observations and atmosphere-ocean coupling simulations.

2 mar 2023 · SUMMARY. The 15 January 2022 eruption of the Hunga–Tunga volcano generated a Lamb pressure wave propagating all over the globe and triggering a tsunami throughout the planet. A first atmospheric wave arrived 16 hr after the eruption on the French Mediterranean coasts and propagated southward.
