Being a Core-Mod allows Awesome to implement functionality that is either impossible or simply too onerous for this suite's style of mods.

AwesomeMod is a core mod for The Sims 3. It is created and maintained by J. M. Pescado and 'Doctor Boris', and is hosted at the More Awesome Than You forum. It was launched on June 4, 2009 for The Sims 3 base game.
Awesomemod should be installed in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages, just like other CC. The old method can still work, for sure, but it's unreliable, and creates problems with various script mods - so it's better to do things the normal way.
