Its near-complete articular cartilage surface, and its role in force transmission between the leg and foot, makes successful treatment of such injuries a mandatory prerequisite to regained function.
Treatment of fractures of the talus depends on the location of the fracture . Where there is an open fracture, neurovascular deficit or dislocation, immediate treatment is required.
