25 wrz 2017 · When moving three (3) ~4GB files from a PC to the NAS, with the NAS mapped as a network drive, the initial transfer speed is great…some 106mb/sec (Ihave the two NICs bonded, on a gigabit switch). Then, within a few minutes, the transfer rate falls off a cliff, dropping down to 5-6MB/sec.
28 sty 2019 · Using rsync with EXT4 + write cache works much smoother, ends up at transfer speeds of about 15-20 MB/s. That's much slower than USBcopy but can possibly accepted if one wants to have more flexibility. What I did not test is when the write cache is disabled. Can someone confirm my observations?
I have a 1019+ that's the primary NAS and it has no issues with network transfer speeds (maxes at around 150-200MB/s, depending on the destination computer). Speeds on my DS415play never exceed 16MB/s--effectively 100mbps.
