7 lut 2018 · For a couple of days Steam just won't play videos in the store. I've updated GPU drivers, have windows up to date and have restarted PC to no avail. What happens is that when I enter a game page in the store, everything shows normally but the media player will be black and selecting first video.
7 lis 2019 · My Steam Videos not playing all of a sudden. I have 168 items in my Video section. I have noticed since yesterday that when I click on these videos they don't play but rather give me an error message: "An error occurred. Please try again later", followed by each video's Playback ID.
I've had problems with the Steam store video playback years ago and it was mostly my own fault: for some reason hardware acceleration wasn't turned on in the Steam settings. Turning it on made watching videos in the store a pleasant experience.
Update OS & Drivers. Make sure your operating system and all hardware drivers are up to date. For Windows: Start → search "update" → run "Check for Updates" For Mac: drivers cannot be updated separately; only the operating system can be updated. Investigate Anti-Virus Software.
Anyone else having a problem with playing videos in the store? It's not working for me in the client, Firefox, Chrome, or Internet Explorer.
30 wrz 2024 · Just checked Steam on Windows and macOS and videos seem to be working fine for me. Can either of you visit the Steam store and try to view a video, then right-click on the video and Inspect it, then click the Console tab in the resulting dev tools window and share any output that appears there?
