Press the button and within a couple of seconds the running game suspends and the deck goes to sleep. Press the button again and within a couple of seconds the deck is awake and the game is back running exactly at the same spot.
You should see the Steam Deck power off, and the power LED will blink three times to confirm battery storage mode has been activated. To wake your Steam Deck from storage mode, plug in the provided power supply and power it on normally.

We’ve built a quick suspend / resume feature into SteamOS. Press the power button, and Steam Deck will suspend your game and go into sleep mode. Push the power button again and it will wake up right where you left off.
