Sodium is a powerful rendering engine and optimization mod for the Minecraft client, which improves frame rates and reduces micro-stutter, while fixing many graphical issues in Minecraft.
FoamFix. FastWorkbench. Fast Furnace. LagGoogles can help optimizing farms to make them more lag-efficient. Tiquality can help for servers. It seems like performant is quite popular, but I crash every time I try adding it to a pack ; probably a conflict with one (or more) of these other mods.
Vintagium is an Unofficial Fork of CaffeineMC's "Sodium", ported to 1.12.2 and made to work with Forge Mod Loader.
The fastest and most compatible rendering optimization mod for Minecraft. Now available for both NeoForge and Fabric! - Download the Minecraft Mod Sodium by jellysquid3 on Modrinth.
Rubidium contains all the features of the classic Sodium. A modern OpenGL rendering pipeline for chunk rendering that takes advantage of multi-draw techniques, allowing for a significant reduction in CPU overhead (~90%) when rendering the world.
It's not sodium, not trying to be either, but the mod author claims it does things similar to sodium to gain performance, and I genuinely can't complain since I've got a good fps boost while using it.
I never knew one, but I'll try looking for it. The usual 1.12 performance mods are Phosphor, Foamfix, Vanillafix, Betterfps. Sounds like you are looking for Nothirium - it isn't actually a full sodium port but makes minecraft use a newer version of OpenGL which is one of the optimisations that sodium uses.
