Hi, i was following a tutorial on youtube on how to use reshade on the sims 4. the tutorial included that you needed to find your Origin Games file to add it to the game. but it was not there when i was looking for it, is there anything i can do to fix this?

Do NOT look inside Documents > Electronic Arts. Instead, look within the game's program files, which by default would be in one of these locations: Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4. Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4. Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4
You have to go to the game's actual installation location. If you installed the game with Origin, the default installation folder will be C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 4. "Open File Location" only works for shortcuts.
I can find the Sims 4 folder in Documents/Electronic Arts just fine but when I try to find the rest of the game's files in Program Files(x86)/Origin Games, only my Sims 3 games show up. Is this because I downloaded the game electronically?
C:\Program Files (x86) -> Origin Games (or EA games) -> The Sims 4 When you can’t find the correct folder, download this small file and run it. It will show you the correct folder for your DLC’s.
Game install files should be located here: (by default) – C:\Program Files\EA Games\ -- EA App Version – C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\ -- Origin Version
