Our 176 Member Organizations, also known as National Scout Organizations, are at the forefront of efforts to promote peace, sustainability, and mutual understanding by empowering young people as active citizens and future leaders in their communities.

Scouting is a global movement of 173 National Scout Organizations (NSOs) in more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. To sustain membership growth and strengthen capacities, WOSM has a range of services that support NSOs and complement the organization’s vision of becoming the world’s leading educational movement by 2023.
The Scouting and Guiding movement in Poland (Polish: Harcerstwo) consists of about twelve independent organizations with an overall membership of about 160,000 Scouts and Guides. The largest organization by membership is Polish Scouting and Guiding Association (Związek Harcerstwa Polskiego; ZHP) with about 140,000 members. [1][2]
