This tuning procedure will set your needles where they need to be for optimum performance, there is no guessing, the engine will tell you. For this to work the engine has to be at running temps (or as close to it as possible) as well as having the standard 1mm gap for the carb opening.

What are some must have hopups and what should I look at in particular for tuning to run at an 1/8 off-road track?
6 cze 2007 · Properly tuning a nitro engine can make that difference without jeopardizing its health. It takes time to learn how to really tune your engine, however. There’s a certain “feel” to how your car drives and a certain sound you’ll come to know when your engine has been ideally tuned.
Settle in for this one - it's over an hour, and has great production value (and is hilarious!) But if you want to know how a carb works, how the needle valves work, how to adjust your idle, or anything else involved with nitro tuning, you must check this out.
3 kwi 2005 · Basic Tuning. Tune in order, make sure the car is at its base settings - the setting you broke it in with. Its should very rich (boggy/lots of smoke/ possibly stalling) at these settings and the performance will be poor.
