From what I've seen, the most common issue is that many cables aren't good enough to charge more energy than what the quest 3 spends, even with cables that worked on the quest 2, so I'm trying to find the best options.

use a good quality short cable with a 5v battery bank to maintain the charge. use any cable with a PD or QC battery bank to get a slow-fast charge while in use depending on the quality of the cable.

An USB-C cable for a 30w wall charger will keep the Quest 3 topped off, but I have not found a powered Link cable that allows the throughput. For now I do wireless Link, then plug in to a long cable when the Quest alerts.
