Matplotlib supports multiple categories of markers which are selected using the marker parameter of plot commands: Unfilled markers. Filled markers. Markers created from TeX symbols. Marker Reference. You can choose any of these markers: Format Strings fmt. You can also use the shortcut string notation parameter to specify the marker.
